Marjan Oudeman

BIO

Marjan Oudeman has extensive professional experience in leading multinational business operations for AkzoNobel NV, Tata Steel Europe, Corus Group Plc. and Hoogovens Group NV. During her over 30-year career in these corporations she has also gained valuable experience in performance improvement, financing and financial reporting, restructurings, strategic planning, organisational development and corporate governance. She ended her professional career as President of the Executive Board of the Utrecht University in 2017 in order to concentrate on her non-executive director positions currently in UPM-Kymmene Corporation (Finland), Solvay SA (Belgium), Koninklijke Luchtvaart Maatschappij N.V. (KLM) (the Netherlands) and SHV Holding NV (the Netherlands).

She has been member of the Dutch Innovation Platform II, chaired by the then PM. As president of Utrecht University she has set up and chaired for over 6 years the Advanced Research Centre Chemical Building Blocks. A public and private research consortium of leading international chemical companies and research universities in the Netherlands. This ARC is dedicated to green and circular chemistry. Currently chairing a nationwide program on hydrogen and green chemistry.

Ms Marjan Oudeman holds master’s degrees in law (LL.M.) and business administration (MBA).

Ms Oudeman is appreciated for her versatile expertise, long professional experience and contribution to the Board’s competence base and diversity.
