Heleen Riper

BIO

Heleen Riper is full professor of eMental-Health at the VU University (Department Clinical Psychology, The Netherlands) and at the Department of Psychiatry of the Amsterdam University Medical Centre (Amsterdam, The Netherlands). She is visiting professor at the Telepsychiatry Center at the University of Southern Denmark and at the University of Turku, Faculty of Medicine, Finland. In 2021 she received an Honorary Doctorate of the University of Bern (Switzerland) for her two decades research on the development and evaluation of digital technologies for the prevention and treatment of common mental health disorders such as prevention, anxiety and problem drinking. Her current research focusses on digital phenotyping, blended formats of treatment in routine mental health services and personalization of care. She has published over 320 (international) peer reviewed papers and book chapters within the digital mental health domain. In 2020 she has been ranked by the Web of Science™ in the top of 1% mostly cited researchers in her cross-sectional domain.  Since 2021 she is chief editor of Digital Mental Health (Frontiers of Psychiatry).
