Kaarle Hämeri works as the Chancellor of the University of Helsinki. Before that he worked as a professor in Aerosol physics since 2003. He has published more than 140 peer reviewed international papers in leading journals of aerosol and atmospheric sciences and has h-index of 52. In addition, he is a co-author of high school physics book series. Hämeri has held many positions of trust in international and national scientific associations among which the president positions of the International and European Aerosol Assemblies and Union of the University Professors (Professoriliitto). He is the recipient of the International Aerosol Fellow award 2016.
