BIO

Dr Mart Noorma is an innovation leader in the field of space and defence. He has led teams developing battlefield robotics as the Science and Development Director at Milrem Robotics, reforming higher education as the Vice Rector of Academic Affairs at the University of Tartu and building spacecrafts for interplanetary space flight as the Professor of Space and Defence Technology at the University of Tartu. Currently, he is leading the efforts to maintain peace and security in global cyber domain as the Director of NATO Cooperative Cyber Defence Center of Excellence.

Mart Noorma is a member of the NATO Advisory Group on Emerging and Disruptive Technologies, the NATO Science and Technology Organization Applied Vehicle Technology Panel, the European External Action Service Space Advisory Board, the IEEE Autonomous Weapon Systems Expert Advisory Committee etc.

He is a physics graduate of the University of Tartu and got the degree of the Doctor of Science in Technology at the Helsinki University of Technology.
