Aalto Distinguished Professor Riitta Salmelin leads a research group on imaging neuroscience at Aalto University and serves as Vice Director of the Euro-BioImaging Finland research infrastructure. Her interdisciplinary research merges neuroscience, physics, psychology, computer science, machine learning, linguistics and language technology, and has resulted in more than 170 peer-reviewed articles. She is a member of Academia Europae and has served two terms as Academy Professor. She has contributed to research ethics as a long-term member of the Finnish National Board on Research Integrity (TENK).
