Professor Samuel Kaski is the founding director of ELLIS Institute Finland and the national flagship Finnish Center for Artificial Intelligence FCAI. He is a machine learning professor in Aalto University and the University of Manchester, where he also leads the Manchester Center for AI Fundamentals. He has published 390 peer-reviewed papers on his field probabilistic machine learning and its applications as AI for Research in several other fields of research and with industry. He is a UKRI Turing AI World-Leading Researcher Fellow who recently started an ERC advanced grant, and an ELLIS Fellow.
