Video: 2024 Millennium Technology Prize Winner has been chosen!
The Winner(s) of the 2024 Millennium Technology Prize have now been decided by the Board of Technology Academy Finland (TAF), the foundation awarding the Prize.
“It will be a surprise to many, who is the winner and what is the technology. Something that we don’t generally know, but it’s very important for the future of our world,” says Päivi Törmä, Chair of the International Selection Committee.
“The winner reflects extremely well green values, sustainability – things that are very important in today’s world. I think this is going to be a great winner and a great Prize,” says Juho Malmberg, Member of Board at Technology Academy Finland.
The TAF Board made their decision based on the proposal of the International Selection Committee, composed of eminent professionals from academia and industry with broad knowledge and collective expertise covering the fields of the Prize.

The winner of the Millennium Technology Prize 2024 will be announced on 4 September and awarded in Finland on 30 October 2024.
